Nitty-Gritty Thoughts ♥

Archive for May 2013

Though Rise of the Guardians is not one of my favorite movies, Jack Frost has become one of those characters I like – not so dramatic, not so indifferent, just.. COOL 😀

The movie wasn’t really a ‘noisy’ one. It didn’t even reach the tip of my interest, but since Jack Frost seemed to be a good-looking, good-hearted cutie little super hero, I watched it anyway. Read the rest of this entry »

Greenery Bulacan. Tipid. Haha LOL 😀

That day was really tiring. Pero Masaya 🙂 Mga 10PM na natapos ang party and so that’s the only time I’ve checked my phone. And as (kind of) expected, flood. I rested for almost 30 minutes. And after that, still wearing my dress and make up, I dived into bed and replied to each text message patiently and genuinely. Pindot dito, pindot doon. Higa dito, upo doon. Text-text. Higa-higa. Pikit-pikit. Inantok na ako kaka-reply. I closed my eyes. Then it beeped again. I opened it. Then a smile painted on my lips. May humabol pa ng pagbati sa’kin, at sabi niya gusto daw niya siya ang huling babati sa’kin sa araw ng kaarawan ko. (Kung mabasa mo ‘to, hindi na kita papangalanan ha. Para kunwari confidential. Haha ;)) I was about to reply when I time-checked. Pasado alas dose na. Ibig sabihin, lagpas December 21 na. Ibig sabihin, hindi ko na birthday. Haha! And so I replied with my sweetest ‘thank you’ thru the phone and I said that I appreciate the effort, though it was a ‘fail’. Pwede na lang yung pagbati niya na advanced greeting for my next birthday. Hehe. Few minutes later, my phone beeped again. And I laughed out loud.

“Advanced lang po relo niyo, google time po gamit ko.” Read the rest of this entry »

Ruth, Naomi’s daughter-in-law who was then married to Boaz gave birth to a child and named him Obed, who fathered Jesse, who fathered the great king of Israel – David. Read the rest of this entry »

“I am not a warrior. I don’t know how to fight. I am a weakling.”

Thousand years ago, these phrases were my bestfriends. They were the ones reminding me not to fight anyone because I will never win. I was really a weakling, a coward. Read the rest of this entry »

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. – Matthew 4:1

This scripture says that the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. Why did the Spirit led Jesus to that place? To be tempted. At first, this may sound so absurd. Jesus is God. Is it just logical to think that He would surely overcome temptations? He is God and He doesn’t need to undergo that. But He did. He simply showed us that He is indeed a God who became a human being just like you and me. And He was intentionally led by the Spirit into that wilderness so that His obedience to God the Father will be tested. Read the rest of this entry »

And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. – Matthew 2:12

They went to another way so that they won’t meet Herod. They were called wise men, and indeed they were. They were being warned not to return to Herod, and I guess that there is no other way but to go to another way. Sometimes, God’s way is ‘another way’. Read the rest of this entry »
